Anchor & Vine's Program is located on beautiful west-side of the Isla Del Encanto! This program serves as the "intermediate" level experience and is perfect for those seeking a unique cultural experience but with some of the familiarity of home. This mission experience will involve partnerships with local churches and organizations, physical projects, and assisting with poverty alleviation.
Poverty Alleviation
Due to the ongoing recession, reoccurring natural disasters, and other political factors, 43.1% of the adult population and 57% of children live in poverty.
Physical Projects
In 2017, as a result of Hurricane Maria, Puerto Rico suffered catastrophic damage and a major humanitarian crisis; most of the island's population suffered from flooding and a lack of resources, compounded by a slow relief process.
