Mission, Approach, and Values

MISSION

​

Anchor & Vine Global Outreach is a Christ-centered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to uniting the body of Christ through transformational global mission experiences. We seek to foster stability and growth throughout the world. 

APPROACH

​

Below are some aspects of our organization and programs that help lead us in our pursuit to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) more effectively:

"No Harm" Mission Experiences: We are committed to facilitating mission experiences that prioritize the well-being and dignity of the communities we work with. Our "no harm" approach ensures that our initiatives are important to the community, sustainable, respectful, and focused on long-term progress. As we like to say, “You can’t just show up, paint a fence, and leave”. Our organization is dedicated to “short-term missions through long-term partnerships”.

“Respecting Partner Resources”: One of the things we learned early on was that local churches and ministries are often heavily burdened when hosting mission teams. Churches hosting teams typically have to bear the cost of shelter, utilities, food, and projects. At Anchor & Vine, we never place financial burden on partners. We are committed to adding value and resources, not taking away from them.

Educational Workshops: We offer four educational workshops as part of our mission experiences, providing participants with valuable insights into topics such as cultural values, community-specific needs, and discipleship.

Exploration: Our mission trips go beyond the norm. Participants have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture, explore the program location, and learn about the traditions, history, and way of life of the community.

Financial Transparency: When participating in a mission experience with Anchor & Vine, you and your group will receive a “Financial Transparency” document that details where every cent of your trip cost will go. This helps to build a foundation of trust and confidence in all we do.

VALUES & BELIEF

We are committed to the beliefs and traditions that have been handed down to us through the historic Christian faith and holy scriptures. We uphold the Apostle's Creed and Nicene Creed. Our mission is rooted in our core beliefs around human value, God's work of salvation, and our calling to join that work.

Human Value

        We believe that God values all human life.

Work of Salvation

        We believe that God seeks to save all people and restore the whole of creation. 

Our Calling

        We believe that God calls all Christians to join into his work of salvation and restoration through acts of faith and service.

Restoration

        We believe that Christians should have a proactive relationship in helping to restore the whole of creation. 

​

Stability 

        We believe in improving the social stability of those in poverty. 

​

Partnerships

        We believe in creating short-term mission opportunities only in collaboration with long-term partnerships and with special                    attention given to community-specific needs, culture, and context.
